Cosmo Blog Awards 2014: Vote for The Whole World is a Playground!

OK I have proof that Monday can be the most amazing day of the week and it’s all down to Cosmopolitan magazine!! The 2014 Cosmo Blog Awards shortlist was announced earlier today and The Whole World is a Playground was shortlisted for Travel Blog of the Year. I was so excited and shocked I squealed (totally not a good look in the office) and there was a definite danger of me falling off my chair!!

To have The Whole World is a Playground recognized by the judges of the Cosmo Blog Awards just blows my mind. I mean it’s Cosmo, it’s in my apartment, it’s huge!! I’m incredibly proud to have made it onto a shortlist of just 7 travel blogs and to be in such awesome company with so many amazing bloggers.

The Whole World is a Playground started out in my head on a crazy border crossing between Thailand and Cambodia. A border crossing which involved trains, tuk tuks, taxis, bribery, fake borders and many, many crazy characters along the way. I was having a little giggle to myself thinking ‘this is stuff you only read about’ and, that was it, my love affair with The Whole World is a Playground was born and we’ve been soul mates ever since!

So with that, I’d like to say a massive thanks to everyone who nominated The Whole World is a Playground in the Cosmo Blog Awards. I’m not sure I can convey exactly how much being shortlisted means to me but here’s my best attempt: I’M SO RIDICULOUSLY EXCITED AND PROUD I MAY SPONTANEOUSLY COMBUST AT ANY MOMENT!!!
