The My Royal Dream Experience
All the appointments at My Royal Dream follow a similar format. These are the details from our recent visit t(you can also find more info on the Disneyland Paris website):
Check-in: we were staying at the Disneyland Hotel so shortly before our appointment time we made our way to the 2nd floor of the hotel where the Royal Collection Boutique is located.
The Boutique: My Royal Dream is located inside the Royal Collection Boutique. One side of the boutique (through the doorway of My Royal Tailor and outside the entrance of My Royal Dream) is dedicated to Princess dresses, Knight costumes, shoes and accessories.
The Disney Princesses are well represented and there is a good selection of sizes. Aurora, Belle, Jasmine, Anna, Elsa, Snow White, Rapunzel and Cinderella dresses are stocked in the boutique. There was one premium dress, a stunning Belle gown, on the day we visited. There is a good range of shoes, tiaras and wands.
For princes, there is a magnificent Knight costume (it’s truly the most beautiful Knight costume I’ve ever seen in Disney!) as well as a sword and shield to accessorise.
My Royal Dream tip: smaller sized shoes were hard to come by the day we visited but we did find them in La Chaumière des Sept Nains by the entrance to Fantasyland.
Costumes are available in sizes 4 to 14 years. The regular princess dresses or the Knight costume are included in the Royal Makeover package (€195) and the premium dress is included in the Royal Makeover Signature Package (€440). A Royal Beauty package is available which does not include a dress or costume. Dresses and Knight costumes can also be purchased separately to the makeover packages.
My Royal Dream Makeover: once dressed, My Royal Dream participants are invited into the makeup rooms for their royal makeover. The makeover rooms are spacious and are designed in the style of old Hollywood glamour. There is plush seating and a make-up table with a Hollywood-style mirror surrounded by light lightbulbs. The rooms overlook the front of the hotel (where you approach Disneyland Park from Disney Village).
Our 4-year-old had a princess makeover and was dressed as Jasmine. Her Fairy Godmother Apprentice (I’m not sure if Disneyland Paris uses the Fairy Godmother Apprentice name but this is how the hair and makeup artists are referred to in the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in the Florida and California Parks!) chatted to her about her favorite Princess and favorite colors and based her makeover on this. She had her hair styled similarly to Jasmine and had eyeshadow and lip gloss applied and some face paint added to one side of her face.
She was then sworn in as a Princess with a sprinkle of glitter and a declaration of Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!
My Royal Dream tip: we weren’t offered a menu of hairstyles and make up options so it might be useful to run through the different princess hairstyles with your child in advance to see if they have a favorite look. No hair accesories were provided aside from hair pins to secure the hairstyle.
During the Knight makeover, my fearsome Knight had his hair gelled and some face paint applied – he was asked what his favorite Royal emblem was (the templates included a sword and a crown).
He was also offered a painted mustache but he declined (although they did look really cute!). He was then sworn in as a knight having repeated a Knight speech that his Fairy Godmother apprentice read aloud.
Photo Shoot: after the makeover, knights and princesses are invited for a photoshoot in a royal studio in the boutique. We had a wonderful photographer who captured some incredible photos of my knight and princess – she put them totally at ease and invited us to take some family shots as well. There were some accessories available for the royal participants to pose with.
Purchasing photos: One souvenir framed photo is included in all packages so we chose a photo and it was printed on the spot. Portrait and landscape frames were available for the printed photo. We purchased a PhotoPass as we loved the My Royal Dream photos and had some wonderful meet and greets during the rest of our stay (it included our photos from our Royal Encounter princess meet and greets in the hotel and our park meets with Darth Vader, Winnie the Pooh, Mandalorian and Grogu, Stitch and Mickey Mouse!)
Is My Royal Dream Worth it?
Yes, we thought so anyway!
Our Knight and Princess had an absolute blast and spent the rest of the day enjoying their new look and receiving endless compliments! The photos are incredible (thanks to the wonderful photographer who photographed both our kids) and they loved being dressed up for their Royal Encounter and dinner at Lumiere.
It would be nice to see the price of the Knight’s package reduced as, without the hairstyle, it is a lesser offering than the equivalent Princess packages – the US parks do charge a lower price to reflect the shorter appointment.
How to get an appointment at My Royal Dream
My Royal Dream has been an instant hit since its launch and slots are reserved quickly upon their release. Appointments are available daily from 8.10am to 7pm.

What to do after My Royal Dream?
We have so many suggestions to make the most of the wonderful royal makeover:
Auberge de Cendrillion
reserve a table for the princesses dining in Auberge de Cendrillion and dine with the princesses. We met Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White, Rapunzel and Merida on our most recent visits – read more about Princess Dining here!
Royal Banquet
Reserve a spot for lunch at Disneyland Paris’ newest character dining offering. The Royal Banquet. Join Mickey, Minnie and friends in their Royal attire for a buffet lunch inside the Disneyland Hotel – read more about the Royal Banquet here!
We visited during lunch and met Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse and Donald and Daisy Duck. At the moment, this seems to be the lineup for lunch with Pluto and Goofy replacing Donald and Daisy during the dinner sittings – Goofy and Pluto often switch sittings with Donald and Daisy during different weeks.
La Table de Lumière
Guests of the Disneyland Hotel can dine with the Royal couples in La Table de Lumière. The restaurant is inspired by Versailles’s Hall of Mirrors and Beauty and the Beast – read more about La Table de Lumiere here
We reserved a 6pm dinner on the evening of My Royal Dream and had a wonderful evening. On the evening we attended, we were joined by Ariel and Prince Eric, Aurora and Prince Phillip and Belle and Prince Adam. Cinderella and Prince Charming can also appear but it is typically 3 Royal Couples per evening.
Royal Encounter
If you are a guest of the Disneyland Hotel (check out the Disneyland Hotel here) then make sure to reserve a Royal Encounter (available to reserve on the Disneyland App from 7 days prior to your stay). This is an exclusive meet and greet for hotel guests with one of the Princesses – we met Cinderella, Snow White, Ariel, Jasmine, Belle and Aurora at the Royal Encounter during our time in the hotel.
Princess Pavilion
The Princess Pavilion, located in Fantasyland in Disneyland Park, is home to the Princess meet and greet at Disneyland Paris. Guests meet one Disney Princess and only find out who they will be meeting when they enter the meet and greet! We me Belle and Moana on our recent visits.

Castle Photos
Make sure to capture the moment at the Sleeping Beauty Castle. You can usually get beautiful shots without any other guests if you stay to the left of the Castle on the path that leads to the dragon and Fantasyland.

Everything you need to know about My Royal Dream
Here’s everything you need to know about My Royal Dream at Disneyland Paris.
What ages can attend My Royal Dream?
The Royal Beauty Package (€95 and does not include a dress/knight costume) is open to guests aged 3 and over. Adults and children alike can participate in this experience (since I’ve been asked many times about adults enjoying My Royal Dream: while I didn’t personally have a makeover, I did see adults participating and I absolutely would love to!).
Costumes are available in sizes 4 to 14 years so guests wishing to participate in a Royal Signature package can only avail of dresses in these sizes.
Do I need to reserve My Royal Dream in advance?
Absolutely! My Royal Dream is a new experience at Disneyland Paris and everything Princess related is extremely popular. The entire weekend was fully booked when we were at the hotel and all released appointments for the next month are sold out on the app.
My Royal Dream tip: if you are a hotel guest you can try asking about availability at the boutique on the day in case of cancellations.
How much does My Royal Dream cost?
There are 3 packages currently available at My Royal Dream and the price is dependent on the package you choose:
- Royal Beauty (€95): this includes hair, makeup and face painting. A photoshoot with one printed photograph is included.
- Royal Makeover (€190): this includes hair, makeup and face painting, a Disney princess gown or a Knight costume and one accessory of your choice. A photoshoot with one printed photograph is included.
- Royal Makeover Signature (€440): this includes hair, makeup and face painting, a premium Disney princess gown and accessories. Nail art is also included in this package together with the photoshoot with one printed photograph. This package wasn’t available when My Royal Dream initially opened but the Belle premium dress is now in stock.
My Royal Dream tip: Knights packages are priced the same as princess packages in My Royal Dream.
Is My Royal Dream for Boys and Girls?
Yes! My Royal Dream is for everyone, and guests can choose whichever package they prefer.
Can adults attend My Royal Dream?
Yes! There are no maximum age restrictions at My Royal Dream and I saw adults enjoying the experience. Adults can only avail of the Royal Beauty Package as costumes are limited to sizes 4 to 14 years.
Do I need to be staying at the Disneyland Hotel to reserve My Royal Dream?
Not at the moment! The policy varies(and has been changed multiple times since the launch of My Royal Dream) so this is subject to change. Read our guide to the Disneyland Hotel at Disneyland Paris.
Can I bring my own dress/costume to My Royal Dream?
Yes! Many guests arrive with their own attire and the Royal Beauty package is perfect if you don’t want to purchase a dress or knight costume on the day, it’s entirely up to you!
It can often be less expensive to purchase in advance (try ShopDisney for ideas), you can work to a budget and you don’t have to worry about the availability of sizes – sometimes My Royal Dream can get low on stock of popular sizes and run out.
If choosing the dress in-store is likely to be important to your child then you might want to wait and choose on the day. We saw some kids walk in and fall in love with a completely different dress(and it’s completely understandable as the dresses are stunning!) than the one they had purchased in advance and this can be difficult to navigate in the middle of the experience!
Some worry that the experience is not as special if you are not choosing a dress in the boutique – we’ve brought our own dresses to California and Florida Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique as well as Paris’ My Royal Dream and our mini royals have been just as excited as when they were able to choose a dress in the store.
Do I get to keep my dress from My Royal Dream?
Yes, if you purchase one of the packages that includes a dress! Any accessories and costumes are yours to keep.
Are the Dresses Exclusive to My Royal Dream?
They didn’t seem to be – the Aurora, Belle, Jasmine, Snow White, Rapunzel and Cinderella dresses all seemed to be the same as those available in La Chaumière des Sept Nains in Fantasyland. However, I didn’t see the Anna, Elsa or deluxe Belle dresses that are available in My Royal Dream for sale in La Chaumière des Sept Nains.
The beautiful Knight costume is also available in La Chaumière des Sept Nains. I’ve only ever seen it at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutiques in Florida and California prior to this.
Shop Disney also has similar Princess dresses available if you want to purchase in advance.
How long does the My Royal Dream experience last?
We’d recommend budgeting around 2 hours all in. Our appointment, including the photo shoot, took just less than one hour. We took some time browsing the accessories and choosing shoes and a sword and shield and you might want to spend some time in the hotel after.
Do I need a park ticket to attend My Royal Dream?
No! My Royal Dream is located in the Disneyland Hotel and a park ticket is not required.
Who can attend the My Royal Dream appointments?
The makeover rooms are quite spacious in My Royal Dream. There is plenty of space for one or both parents and a sibling and there are some seats to the side of each room. At one point, both Dave and I were in the makeover room with our other two children and we fit fine!
Is there a PhotoPass Photographer at My Royal Dream?
Yes, the package includes a photo shoot and one printed photo. Other images are available to purchase through a PhotoPass so it’s highly likely you’ll end up purchasing the PhotoPass in addition! Note, the photographer only captures the dedicated photo shoot after the makeover – you will need to take your own photos during the makeover if you wish.
Can I book double/triple appointments?
Yes, if there is availability. We saw a family with two appointments at the same time and they were able to leave the curtains open in the two makeover rooms and enjoy the experience with both their children. We booked two consecutive appointments and were in the same room makeover room throughout.
If you miss the initial appointment release, you are then relying on securing a cancellation. At this point, you will likely only get single slots which you will have to align as closely as possible – this can be quite difficult to secure!
Can I park at the Disneyland Hotel?
Parking at the hotel is restricted to hotel guests only at the moment. Visiting guests can park in the regular Disneyland Paris guest parking.
How far in advance can I book the Royal Dream Makeover? I have booked to stay at the Disneyland hotel October 2025, I didn’t know if I can book this far in advance
I think it’s usually 12 months Ashley, it should show on your app when it opens for your stay.
